Our 2 day whitewater rafting trip on the Middle Fork American River offers incredible scenery, exciting rapids, and delicious food. We split the 15 mile stretch of river into 2 shorter river days and set up a river camp where you will have time to relax, swim, explore, or try your hand at fishing.

Most of the Middle Fork American River is road-less, which gives us the opportunity to setup a camp on the river that offers privacy and solitude. On the 2 day whitewater rafting trip, we carry in all of the camping equipment on our rafts. Each person is given a large dry bag to store their personal gear (clothing, toiletries, and sleeping pad/bag). We take care of the rest.

Multi-Day Middle Fork American River Trips meet at 9 AM. Please be dressed and ready to go! There are several other rafting companies that meet here, so look for Beyond Limits Adventures vehicle and guides. You will be given a drybag to transfer your personal gear into for the trip. Once packed, you will need to sign-in and load into the shuttle for the ride to the put-in below Oxbow Reservoir. Your guides will prepare the rafts for the river and give all participants a safety orientation. You will be given a PFD, helmet, and paddle.

Once on the water, the action comes fast. There will be several miles of Class III & IV action, including the famous Tunnel Chute Rapid. The river then mellows out, helmets come off, and it's time to enjoy the scenery and stop for lunch, and then camp. There will be plenty of food, so bring a healthy appetite!

Multi-Day trips offer the luxury of slowing down the pace and allow for short hikes up side streams with cascading waterfalls and cool swimming holes. If relaxing on the beach is your thing, you will be well served without the distractions of electronics or cars.

Our food menu is second to none. You will be delighted with 3-course dinners including tasty appetizers, tri-tip steak, grilled chicken, fresh fruits and vegetables. And don't forget to save room for our dutch oven brownies. In the morning, you will rise to the smells of a country-style breakfast and gourmet coffee ready for your cup.

After breakfast, there is usually plenty of downtime to pack your belongings and relax before getting back on the water. We will head downstream to a lunchspot and side hike before the rapids pick back up. The trip rounds out with several more miles of Class III-IV rapids and a portage around the Class VI Ruck-a-Chucky Rapid.

At take-out, our shuttle vehicle will be waiting for you with cold drinks. Once the rafts and gear are loaded up, we'll have a ride out of the canyon and back to your cars. Although finish times may vary, plan to be back to your car by 4 PM
